Hey, I'm Kayla Ren! I attended Flagler College, where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design with a minor in Fine Art. My areas of particular interest and focus are; Creative Direction, Web Design & Development, Editorial Design, Branding, and Visual Communication. I've worked as an Art Director, Web Designer, and Graphic Designer, and even dabbled in sublimation printing over my career. My time in those roles allowed me to grow as an individual, designer, problem solver, and leader. The Big Idea. When I turned thirty, I knew it was time to create something of my own. I witnessed over and over again the frustrations that so many business owners encountered while developing their brands. While these frustrations ALWAYS felt unique to the client, they were anything but to me. To me, they were as common as opening social media and learning that somebody out there in the world had YET AGAIN been offended by something completely obsolete. (Yes, I am the funniest person I know and strive to maintain a sense of humor. If that won't work for you, I suggest closing this browser tab right now). These commonalities were almost always as follows: Example One: The "new" business owner - paid a small fortune for a new logo, but all they have to show for it is a .jpg file (and no clue that you won't get very far with only a .jpg file). Example Two: The "old school" business owner - is completely overwhelmed with modern technology and struggling to take their business online. Example Three: The "dreamer" client - just rebranded for the 6th time in two years with no strategy or resources to ground and guide them forward in developing their brand. I wanted to create something that took the frustrations out of brand development while empowering my clients and making the process as fun, rewarding and creative for them as it is for me. Kayla Immel, Ctrl + Alt Design, is super skilled on all the facets of design. She quickly comprehended our overall goals, and created a site so beautiful and functional that we already are reaping the benefits. She guided us through the entire process and saved us untold amounts of time. I asked Kayla to redesign and connect my blog feed on my website. She did it exactly as I asked. And since I am very tech-challenged, she went above and beyond to explain it to me. She even made me a personal video to describe how to do it.

Ctrl + Alt Design was the perfect choice! We were able to build a personal relationship with the owner and feel like our ideas mattered. The owner really took the time to listen and help demonstrate how to work the website as well as help improve it. We would highly recommended Ctrl + Alt Design to anyone looking for a website!...

I started to create a website a couple of years ago using the WIX platform. I found the tools easy to use, and loved the look of what I was accomplishing. I just did not have the time to complete the site. I was connected through WIX with Kayla at Ctrl + Alt Design and hired her to finish my site. She actually took the information from my site that I was creating and designed a website that was far beyond my expectations (and better than the one I was creating). She was professional, fast, skillful, and reasonably priced. I would recommend Kayla at Ctrl + Alt Design to others who are looking to create a really nice website....
